ETH Hangar – New Forms of Research

ETH Hangar – New Forms of Research

ETH Zurich is one the world’s leading universities and recognized early on the potential of the Innovation Park as a platform for pioneering research. The university conducts research in Dübendorf across more than 7,000 square meters and is pursuing projects at both bachelor’s and master’s level.

In Hangar 3, student teams are developing visionary technologies: ARIS is working on rocket systems, Swissloop on Hyperloop concepts, Cellsius on a hydrogen-powered aircraft, AMZ Racing on the world’s fastest electric race cars, aCentauri on solar-powered race cars, and Zephyr is testing wings using an innovative drone platform.

Hangar 2 provides space for the ETH Exploration Lab, where master’s students work alongside industry partners on hands-on projects, as well as the ETH Robotics Club and the student-led FORZA ETH team. In addition, new collaboration programs with leading industrial companies are being developed here, while ETH Spin-offs benefit from workshop space for building their prototypes.
